International Culture Celebrated at Gustavus Posted on November 11th, 2007 by

Diversity and international culture will be celebrated at Gustavus Adolphus College this weekend. The College will host its annual International Festival on Friday, Nov. 16, while the Hmong New Year will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 17. Both events are open to the public.

The International Festival is sponsored by the International Cultures Club and will start at 6 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. The festival will feature international cuisine, a fashion show, songs, dances, and skits.

The Hmong New Year celebration is sponsored by the Asian Cultures Club and will take place from 12 to 4 p.m. in Alumni Hall. This event will feature Hmong foods and traditional music and dancing.
