Stephen Thompson will be at Gustavus on April 11

Stephen Thompson, one of America’s leading experts on sexual assault, sexual harassment, and stalking, will speak at Gustavus Adolphus College on April 11. The event is open to the public and will begin at 7:00 p.m. in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. Thompson’s presentation, titled “No Zebras – No Excuses,” will address aspects of sexual aggression and focus on what can be done to create a safer environment.

Thompson is an associate professor and the Sexual Aggression Service Coordinator at Central Michigan University. He has devoted 28 years of research to issues regarding sex crimes and has been featured on “Good Morning America” as well as in major newspapers and magazines throughout the country. He has been used as a consultant and sex-crimes profiler for police departments across the country and has spoken to many colleges, universities, private corporations, and government agencies.

Thompson is also the author of the book No More Fear and the most comprehensive behavioral analysis of familiar sexual predators, titled “Date/Acquaintance Rape – The Crime and Criminal Profile.”
