Women’s Hockey to Advance to Semifinals
The Gustavus women’s hockey team will play in the NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Semifinals on Friday, March 18, 2011. After a 4-1 defeat over the University of Wisconsin-River Falls in the quarterfinals on Friday, March 11 in River Falls, Wis., the Gusties will take on Norwich University. The quarterfinal win was a sweet defeat as the Gusties had fallen to UW-RF 4-2 in regular season play on Dec. 10.
Three Gustavus Students Receive NCAA Postgraduate Scholarships
Gustavus Adolphus College student athletes Margaret Dorer, Trevor Wittwer, and Connor Ziegler have been selected to receive postgraduate scholarships from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
Gustavus Awarded NCAA Grant for Alcohol Education
Gustavus Adolphus College has been awarded a three-year, $29,003 CHOICES program grant from the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Through the CHOICES program, the NCAA provides funding to member institutions to integrate athletics into campus-wide efforts to reduce alcohol abuse. Gustavus is one of 15 NCAA institutions nationwide to receive a CHOICES grant in 2007.
