VIDEO: A Sustainable Advantage

Gustavus is a place that truly wants to make a difference in the world. One way the institution and its community members do that is in the area of food and sustainability. Online there's a new, unsolicited video story featuring Gustavus Adolphus College's sustainability efforts in the food/dining area, which was done by the St. Paul-based non-profit organization Minnesota 2020.

The "Good Food for All" event will take place in conjunction with the College's Global Insight program, which is focusing on food issues during 2010-11. 

Food Security Event Feb. 12-13

Gustavus Adolphus College, Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, and Feed My Starving Children are collaborating on a large-scale food security awareness event to occur Feb. 12-13.

Building Bridges Conference to Focus on Education

Gustavus Adolphus College will host its 14th annual Building Bridges Conference Saturday, March 14. The theme of this year's conference is "Liberation through Education" and will focus on educational inequality in the U.S. and abroad and the important influence an education has on an individual's future.

Hunger and Homelessness Week Events Scheduled

The 11th annual Hunger and Homelessness Week to raise awareness at Gustavus Adolphus College will take place Sunday, Nov. 16 through Thursday, Nov. 20.

Lisa Ling will give the keynote address at the Gustavus Adolphus College 12th annual Building Bridges Conference at noon Saturday, March 10 in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. The theme of this year's conference is "Find Your Voice: Putting Awareness Into Action."
