Hillstrom Museum to Showcase Student Work

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will present Kaleidoscope: Senior Show 2009, an exhibition featuring the work of ten studio art majors at the College. The show will be on display from Saturday, May 2 through Sunday, May 31.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will host two new exhibitions from Monday, Nov. 24 to Friday, Jan. 30. Illusion and Certainty (Paintings by Martin Weinstein) will be on display concurrently with Come On!: American Posters from World War I.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will host two exhibitions beginning Monday, Sept. 8. Forbidden Art: The Postwar Russian Avant-Garde will be on display concurrently with Selections from the Hillstrom Collection.

The exhibition "Go Figure: Works by Daniel Dallmann and Arnoldus Grüter," is now on display at Gustavus Adolphus College's Hillstrom Museum of Art. This exhibition will take place Jan. 23 — Feb. 26.

Destination Anywhere Exhibit Comes to Gustavus

"Destination Anywhere: A Juried Exhibit of 15 Award-Winning Young Artists With Disabilities," is now open at the Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College. The exhibit will run from Nov. 19 through Jan. 13.

Revised Museum Hours at Gustavus

In conjunction with Spring Break at Gustavus Adolphus College, the school's Hillstrom Museum of Art will be open limited hours. During the break, which runs from Friday, March 30 through Sunday, April 8, the Hillstrom Museum's hours will be limited to 1—4 p.m. from Monday, April 2 through Thursday, April 5.

Hillstrom Museum Exhibits Noted Cartoonist’s Vietnam Drawings

In 1965, acclaimed political cartoonist Gene Basset was sent by his employer to Vietnam to sketch first-hand the conflict. To mark the fortieth anniversary of his trip, Gustavus' Hillstrom Museum of Art is featuring an exhibition of his drawings.
