Gustavus Alumnus Named Vice President for Institutional Advancement
Gustavus Adolphus College President-elect Jack R. Ohle has named Thomas W. Young, a 1988 Gustavus graduate, Vice President for Institutional Advancement. Young, who currently serves as Interim Co-director for the fundraising unit at the College, will assume his new duties on July 14, 2008.

Gustavus Adolphus College is poised to reach its overall fundraising goal of $11.87 million by May 31, 2008, the college's fiscal year end. While the goal is within reach, additional gifts are needed before Midnight May 31. Gifts may be made online, by mail if post-marked on or before May 31, or by calling 866-487-3863.
Greater Gustavus Fund Challenge Grant Met Ahead of Schedule
Gustavus Adolphus College earned a $50,000 challenge grant, offered by the Greater Gustavus Fund, by raising more than double that amount. The grant matched new and increased unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more made to the College since June 1, 2007.
