Lind Family Donates $3 Million to Gustavus Education Department

Members of the Lind family, representing the Carl and Aune Lind Family Foundation, have pledged $3 million to support various aspects of the Education Department at Gustavus Adolphus College. The gift will create an endowed scholarship fund for education majors, an endowed faculty position in the Education Department, and help renovate the A.H. Anderson building.

Gustavus Adolphus College and the Department of Political Science are pleased to announce the establishment of the Ronald S. and Kathryn K. Christenson Lectureship in Politics and Law. The lectureship is being created thanks to generous funding from Kathryn Kidd Christenson to honor her late husband, Ronald Christenson, a longtime faculty member at the College.

$1 Million Gift to Help Attract National Merit Scholars to Gustavus

Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to announce that Bob “Stick” Peterson ’74 and his wife Cindy have generously given $1 million for the creation of an endowed scholarship fund intended to attract and retain National Merit Scholars to the College. The fund will officially be known as the Robert A. Peterson Distinguished Student Scholarship Fund.

Give to Gustavus Day Raises $133,296 for Annual Fund

Thanks to the generosity of more than 450 alumni, students, faculty, staff, and friends of the College, Gustavus raised $133,296 for the College’s Annual Fund on Wednesday, Nov. 12 during its annual Give to Gustavus Day. The total amount raised exceeded the goal of $100,000 and shattered last year’s Give to Gustavus Day total.
