Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus and current Visiting Professor of English Matt Rasmussen was recently featured by the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Rasmussen is a finalist for this year’s National Book Award in poetry for his debut collection of poems titled Black Aperture.

The Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College will present Bruce McClain: A Retrospective Exhibition, from Nov. 25, 2013 through Jan. 31, 2014. There will be an opening reception Monday, Nov. 25 from 7 to 9 p.m., with a gallery talk by the artist starting at 7:30 p.m.

Gustavus Adolphus College President Jack Ohle has announced that the College is developing plans to renovate the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library. President Ohle made the announcement on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the College’s 18th biennial library fundraiser, A Royal Affair.

The College is proud to announce that thanks to the generosity and dedication of many alumni, parents, and friends, Give to Gustavus Day raised a total of $65,446 for the Gustavus Annual Fund. The online giving campaign was held Wednesday, Nov. 13, with a goal of raising $24,000 in 24 hours.
