  • Gustavus, County Emergency Drill Aug. 15

    Gustavus Adolphus College, along with Nicollet County and many local agencies, will conduct an emergency exercise Wednesday, Aug. 15 from 9:30-11 a.m. The drill will allow various emergency response officials to interact and practice for a public health-related event. The drill will result in many college parking lots being closed for the morning.

  • New Football Field Dedication Set for Sept. 8

    Gustavus Adolphus College will begin a new era of Golden Gustie football on Saturday Sept. 8 when the college’s new football stadium is dedicated and its inaugural game is played. A day of events is planned.

  • Professor Stages Summer Children’s Play

    Gustavus Adolphus College associate professor of theatre and dance Amy Seham has spent the past five summers staging shows at Minnesota’s unique Fringe Festival. This summer she has written and is directing a children’s theatre production called “Miranda’s Amazing Adventure.”

  • Gustavus Bookstore Co-sponsors Harry Potter Book Release Party

    The Gustavus Adolphus College Book Mark in conjunction with several St. Peter community partners is hosting a release party for the seventh and final book in J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows, from 10:30 p.m. to midnight Friday, July 20.

  • Youth Benefit from Gustavus NYSP Camp

    More than 150 area youth are participating in a unique three-week academic and athletic enrichment program at Gustavus called the National Youth Sports Program (NYSP). In its fourth year, the Gustavus NYSP program brings children ages 10-16, from low-income families, to day camp from July 9 through July 28.

    Star Tribune reporter Rachel Blount recently featured Gustavus Adolphus College graduate Eric Butorac and his rise through the professional tennis ranks. Butorac and his doubles partner, Jamie Murray, advanced to the third round at Wimbledon before falling in four sets to the ninth seeded team of Lukas Dlouhy and Pavel Vizner of the Czech Republic.
