The Rev. Robert Esbjornson, 89, died Friday, Oct. 26 in St. Peter, Minn. “Esbj,” as he was affectionately known by several generations of Gustavus Adolphus College students, was a longtime professor of religion (1950-1983) at the college and a beloved campus figure.

The annual Christmas in Christ Chapel celebration at Gustavus Adolphus College will be held Nov. 30-Dec. 2. The theme for this year’s service is “The Word Becomes Flesh.” Tickets are still available for the 7:30 p.m. service on Sunday, Dec. 2. All other services and all Christmas buffets are sold out.
