“Trees for Heart, Trees for Mind, Trees for Spirit” is a weeklong celebration from Monday, April 24 through Friday, April 28 of trees and the Linnaeus Arboretum at Gustavus Adolphus College.
Each day, between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., there will be four 30-minute sessions given by Gustavus community members. Participants will be able to elevate their cardiovascular rate, learn something about nature, trees, or birds, or simply contemplate the wonder of a dandelion.
Everyone is invited to attend one or all of the sessions; registration is not required. Sandwiches, chips, and beverages will be available for purchase, but individuals may also bring their own lunches.
Take this ‘tree’mendous opportunity to visit the arboretum and its Melva Lind Interpretive Center to check out the new interpretive displays, frost a cookie, or sign up to join the Friends of Linnaeus Arboretum at a special introductory rate.
The full schedule of activities for the week is available on the college’s Linnaeu Arboretum website at www.gustavus.edu/oncampus/arboretum/events.cfm.
These events are free and open to the public.
