Broadcasts of this year’s Nobel Conference, “The Legacy of Einstein,” will air this month and in January on Twin Cities Public Television’s “Minnesota Channel” and the lectures are also now available online.

This year’s Nobel Conference main lectures will be broadcast on Twin Cities Public Television’s “Minnesota Channel” (regionally, TPT Ch. 17) as follows:

Oct. 15, 2005, 8 p.m.: George F. R. Ellis, Distinguished Professor of Complex Systems, University of Cape Town, Rondebosch, South Africa

Oct. 22, 8 p.m.: Wendy Freedman, the Crawford H. Greenewalt Chair and Director of Carnegie Observatories, Pasadena, California

Oct. 29, 8 p.m.: Kip S. Thorne, the Feynman Professor of Theoretical Physics California Institute of Technology, Pasadena, California

Tentatively airing Jan. 14, 8 p.m.: Wolfgang Ketterle, 2001 Nobel laureate in physics and the John D. MacArthur Professor of Physics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge

Tentatively airing Jan. 21, 8 p.m.: Sylvester James Gates Jr., John S. Toll Professor of Physics, Department of Physics University of Maryland, College Park

Tentatively airing Jan. 28, 8 p.m.: Thomas Levenson, Associate Professor of Science Writing, Massachusetts Institute of Technology and author and documentary film maker, Watertown, Massachusetts
