Over 1,000 Gusties will take to the ballpark on Monday, June 17 as Gustavus Adolphus College hosts the College’s first-ever Gustavus Night at the Minnesota Twins.
“We’re excited to make this night all about Gusties as we come together to celebrate the beginning of summer at Target Field,” Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement Angela Erickson ’01 said. “With over 300 tickets already sold and social media buzzing, this is clearly something our alumni and friends have been waiting for.”
The first pitch is at 7:10 p.m. as the Minnesota Twins face off against the World Series champion Boston Red Sox, but Gusties are invited to gather before the game at First Draft Taproom and Kitchen in the North Loop for an informal gathering with light appetizers hosted by the Office of Alumni and Parent Engagement.
“I can’t wait to reconnect with fellow Gusties and meet new ones at this awesome event,” said Andrew Valen ’11, co-owner of First Draft. “Gustavus Night at the Minnesota Twins is a great opportunity to show off your Gustie pride and catch up with all the friends you made on The Hill.”

The Gustavus Night ticket package includes your ticket to the game plus an exclusive co-branded Gustavus Twins ballcap. Tickets must be purchased at twinsbaseball.com/gustavus to be eligible. A portion of every ticket purchased will support the Gustavus Alumni Association.
In addition to the pre-game gathering and chance to watch the Twins take on the Red Sox, selected members of the Gustavus community will take part in the first pitch, raise the Twins Territory flag, and lead the crowd in singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the seventh inning stretch.
