Grammy-nominated country music artist Hunter Hayes will perform at Gustavus Adolphus College at 8 p.m. on Saturday, April 23. Tickets are now on sale to the general public.
Hayes’ performance at Gustavus is the most recent installment of his 21 Tour, named after his most recent album, The 21 Project, which was released in November 2015 and builds upon Hayes’ six-track 21 EP release from May 2015.
Since Hunter Hayes, his debut album, was released in 2011, Hayes has acquired a collection of accolades that includes five Grammy nominations and CMA’s Best New Artist of the Year in 2012. Hunter Hayes earned a platinum certification in 2013 and is best known for its hit singles “I Want Crazy,” “Wanted,” and “Somebody’s Heartbreak.”
The concert is being hosted by the Gustavus Campus Activities Board, a student organization that supports programming for the College’s 2,400 undergraduate students. The Campus Activities Board is one of many student leadership organizations at Gustavus and it functions to enrich the educational, cultural, social, and recreational needs of the Gustavus community. The Campus Activities Board provides interesting, exciting, and diverse experiences in order to educate and entertain the students at Gustavus. Hunter Hayes’ performance at Gustavus is just one of the more than 50 events that the Campus Activities Board produces every academic year.
“I’m looking forward to having a fun night with friends and a bunch of other Gusties. Hunter Hayes is going to put on such a great concert for the campus,” first-year student Mycah Lerum said.
Tickets for the general public are now on sale for $20. Tickets may be purchased online at www.gustavustickets.com or in person at the Information Desk in the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center.
