The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present Dan LeFranc’s Origin Story in Anderson Theatre this May. Directed by professor Cory Hinkle, this “comic book for the stage” will be presented May 3-5 at 8 p.m. and May 6 at 2 p.m.

The Gustavus Adolphus College Department of Scandinavian Studies will welcome Swedish author and playwright Jonas Hassen Khemiri to campus the week of April 30 as the College’s Out of Scandinavia Artist-in-Residence. Khemiri is also one of two keynote speakers at this year’s MAYDAY! Peace Conference.

Celebrate Arbor Day 2012 on Friday, April 27 by visiting the Linnaeus Arboretum at Gustavus Adolphus College. Take a leisurely stroll on one of the arboretum’s walking paths or take part in a treasure hunt organized by arboretum staff.

Gustavus Adolphus College and its Department of Psychology is hosting the annual Minnesota Undergraduate Psychology Conference from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 28 in Beck Academic Hall. Dr. Laurie Santos, Associate Professor of Psychology at Yale University is the keynote speaker for the conference.

Gustavus Adolphus College and the Epsilon Pi Alpha Fraternity will host the fifth annual Take the Hill Triathlon on Saturday, April 28. The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team took first place in the President’s Division II team standings at the National Forensic Association’s National Tournament April 19-23 at Ohio University. The Gusties also placed ninth in the Open Sweepstakes team standings to record the program’s first ever top 10 finish at the tournament.

For the second straight year, Gustavus Library Associates (GLA) will host Books in Bloom at the Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College. This year’s event will take place May 4-6 and is free and open to the public.
