Gustavus Announces Release of New iPad Application

Gustavus Adolphus College announced the release of a new iPad application geared toward prospective students on Tuesday, Aug. 21. The application, which is believed to be the first of its kind among institutions of higher education, is available for download on iTunes at no charge.

Nobel Conference 48 Presenter Profile: Dr. William F. Fitzgerald

Learn more about Dr. William F. Fitzgerald, leading mercury expert and Board of Trustees Distinguished Professor of Marine Sciences, Emeritus, at the University of Connecticut. Fitzgerald will speak at this year's Nobel Conference at 6:30 p.m.. on Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Gustavus at the Minnesota State Fair

Gustavus Adolphus College will again have a presence in the Education Building at the Minnesota State Fair. Make plans to stop and visit between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Aug. 23-Sept. 3. This year the Gustavus booth will be giving away buttons with five different images that depict the College on them.

Gustavus Alumna Making Headlines for Mars Landing

Heidi Manning, a 1990 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, will be spending the next year analyzing data collected on Mars by the NASA space rover Curiosity.

Gusties Provide Athletic Training for U.S. Wheelchair Tennis Team

Three Gustavus alumni and one current Gustavus student are working together this week at the University of Minnesota's Baseline Tennis Center as the U.S. Wheelchair Tennis Team prepares for the upcoming Paralympic Games in London.

Gustavus to Induct Nine into Athletics Hall of Fame

The Gustavus Adolphus College Athletics Department has selected nine individuals for induction into its Athletics Hall of Fame. The group will be honored at the Athletics Hall of Fame Banquet, which will be held in Alumni Hall at 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, following the Hall of Fame football game between the Gusties and Hamline University.
