Senior Ethan Bjelland to Present Five Times God

The Department of Theatre and Dance at Gustavus Adolphus College is pleased to present the Ethan Bjelland ’12 translation of Swedish playwright Jonas Hassen Khemiri’s Five Times God. Four performances of the production are scheduled for Nov. 11-13.

Rev. Gerald Hoffman Receives Service Award

The Rev. Gerald (Jerry) Hoffman, a 1959 alumnus of Gustavus Adolphus College, will receive the 2011 Gustavus Adolphus College Association of Congregations (GACAC) and Alumni Service Award on Tuesday, Nov. 8 during the College's daily worship service in Christ Chapel.

Forensics Team Takes Third Place at Prestigious L.E. Norton Tournament

The Gustavus Adolphus College forensics team placed third out of 51 teams at the prestigious 64th annual L.E. Norton Memorial Tournament on Nov. 5-6 at Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., as two team members won individual championships.

22nd Annual Honor Band Festival is Nov. 6-7

More than 100 student musicians from 43 high schools across Minnesota and northern Iowa will converge on Gustavus Adolphus College on Nov. 6-7 for the 22nd annual Gustavus Honor Band Festival.

National Lutheran Choir in Concert Nov. 5

The National Lutheran Choir, under the direction of David Cherwien, will perform its annual All Saints concert, Kyrie: Journey to Light, at 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5 in Christ Chapel on the campus of Gustavus Adolphus College.

Minnesota poet and anthologist William Reichard will be at Gustavus Adolphus College Wednesday, Nov. 2 to read from his newly published anthology American Tensions: Literature of Identity and the Search for Social Justice.
