Gustavus Artist Series Presents Guitarist Mattias Jacobsson

Sweden’s Mattias Jacobsson, one of the foremost classical guitarists on the international stage, will open the Gustavus Artist Series performance season with a recital in Jussi Björling Recital Hall at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 23.

Award Winning Author Patricia Hampl to Appear at Gustavus

Award-winning author and University of Minnesota professor Patricia Hampl will appear at Gustavus Adolphus College on Thursday, Oct. 13 to read from several of her works. Hampl will speak at 7:30 p.m., in Alumni Hall.

Gustavus will once again have a regularly scheduled program on KNUJ Radio (860 AM) throughout the 2011-12 academic year. "The Gustavus Journal" will air from 1:15 to 1:30 p.m. the third Tuesday of every month beginning Tuesday, Sept. 20.

Football Team to Host Mayville State for Home Opener

The Gustavus Adolphus College football team will host Mayville State University for its 2011 home opener at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Hollingsworth Field.

Ulrika Dahl: Gustavus’ Fulbright Hildeman Fellow

Gustavus is privileged to have Ulrika Dahl on campus this fall as its Fulbright Hildeman Fellow and visiting professor in Scandinavian Studies. Dahl is teaching a course titled “Gender and Sexuality in Scandinavia” this semester.
