Huff Wins Hidden River Arts Playwrighting Award

Doug Huff, Professor of Philosophy at Gustavus Adolphus College, was recently named the winner of the 2010 Hidden River Arts Playwrighting Award for his play A Far Shore.

Three Senior Athletes Named to Academic All-America Team

Recent Gustavus Adolphus College graduates Sara Yungner, Katie Schenfeld, and Sam Frank have all earned a spot on the 2011 CoSIDA Capital One Academic All-America At-Large Team.

Bergman Family Business Featured in Star Tribune

Bercom, Inc., a Chanhassen-based business started by 1979 Gustavus graduate Mark Bergman, was recently the focus of a June 5 Star Tribune story. Bergman’s son Chris ’05 and daughter Britta ’08 both work for the company, which manufactures and markets HANDy line of pails, cups and trays for professional and do-it-yourself painters, as well as the new HANDy Bucket Builder products.

Alumna Stacey Lindell to Star in Broadway Musical Premiere

Stacey Lindell, a 2000 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, is starring in the Minneapolis premiere of the Broadway musical Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. The show will be performed by the Minneapolis Musical Theatre (MMT), at the Illusion Theatre on the eighth floor of the Hennepin Center for the Arts, June 10-26.
