Celebrated Cuarteto Latinoamericano to Visit Gustavus

Gustavus Adolphus College will welcome the award-winning ensemble from Mexico, Cuarteto Lationamericano, to campus at 7 p.m. Monday, Feb. 15 in Jussi Björling Recital Hall.

Butorac Advances to Quarterfinals at Australian Open

Eric Butorac, a 2003 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, has advanced to the quarterfinals of the men’s doubles draw at the Australian Open being played in Melbourne.

Gustavus Wind Orchestra in Central Europe

The 73-member Gustavus Wind Orchestra and Conductor Douglas Nimmo are currently in central Europe on a concert tour through Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Austria, and Germany. The Gustavus Adolphus College ensemble will present eight concerts on the 16-day tour, Jan. 20-Feb. 4, 2010.

Intensive Learning in January

Just after Christmas break and before the Spring Semester, Gustavus Adolphus College holds an Interim Experience (IEX). During the month of January, students enroll in just one class. Classes are offered on a variety of topics, both on and off campus, that provide an in-depth look at subjects and themes not typically offered throughout the rest of the year.

Men’s Hockey to Play at Xcel Energy Center

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s hockey team will play St. John’s University at 10 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 24 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul. The game will precede the Minnesota Wild Skills Competition, which will begin at 1 p.m.
