  • Fienen Named Interim Provost

    On Tuesday, May 19, Gustavus Adolphus College President Jack R. Ohle announced that Dr. David Fienen will assume the position of Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at the College effective June 1, 2009.

  • Softball Finishes Third at NCAA Championships

    The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team saw its dream season come to an end Monday afternoon with a 4-2 loss to Coe College in Montclair, N.J. Gustavus, which received the third place trophy, finished the season with the program’s first 40-win campaign at 42-9.

  • Commencement May 31, Webcast Available

    At 2 p.m. Sunday, May 31, more than 600 seniors will receive their bachelor of arts degrees from Gustavus Adolphus College during commencement exercises at Hollingsworth Field. In the case of inclement weather, the ceremonies will be moved indoors to Lund Center for Physical Education and Health.

  • Women’s Golf Places Third at NCAA Championships

    The Gustavus Adolphus College women’s golf team placed third at the Division III NCAA Championships at the PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Fla., on Saturday. Junior Kali Griggs finished in a tie for sixth individually.

  • Softball Wins Game One at NCAA Championships

    The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team continued its winning ways on Friday afternoon with a 5-1 come-from-behind victory over the University of Texas-Tyler in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championships being held in Montclair, N.J.

  • Peterson Accepts Interim President Position at Northland College

    Former Gustavus Adolphus College President James L. Peterson ’64 has been named Interim President at Northland College in Ashland, Wis. Peterson will serve in the role until the college completes a search to replace outgoing President Karen I. Halbersleben, who declined a contract extension earlier this month.

  • Softball Advances to Division III Finals

    The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team defeated Webster University 11-1 in five innings on Sunday, May 10 to win the NCAA Midwest Regional and advance to the Division III Finals for the first time in program history.

  • Forensics Showcase Set for May 12

    Gustavus Adolphus College’s nationally ranked forensics team will showcase some of its best performances of the year at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12 in the Courtyard Café, located on the lower level of the C. Charles Jackson Campus Center.

  • Recyclemania Results Released

    The results are in from Recyclemania, the 10-week recycling and waste reduction competition between 550 participating schools, colleges, and universities across the country. Gustavus Adolphus College collected 72,900 pounds of recyclables during the competition.
