The annual Christmas in Christ Chapel celebration at Gustavus Adolphus College will be held Dec. 4-6. This year’s service is themed “Letters & Carols” and will include music, scripture, and biblical and historic letters from across the centuries which have added to the wonder and delight of the seasons of Advent and Christmas.

At the beginning of December, in the season of Advent, alumni, students, friends of the College, staff, and faculty all unite and worship together in preparation for Christmas. A tradition since 1973, Christmas in Christ Chapel allows the Gustavus community to celebrate the holidays with one another through music, dance, spoken word, and prayer.

Approximately 350 students, faculty, and staff bring the program to life each year through the use of music and visual art. A new theme is chosen each year in order to teach participants something new about faith, culture, and the world. Choirs, orchestras, and dance ensembles perform at each of the five services, with approximately 1,200 people attending each one.

Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4; at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5; and at 3:30 and 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. A limited number of tickets are still available. Tickets may be purchased online by going to gustavustickets.com.
