Former Professor Honored by Delta Pi Epsilon

Ellis Jones, emeritus professor of economics and management at Gustavus Adolphus College, was recently presented with the first ever Delta Pi Epsilon National Leadership Medallion Award.

Car Accident Tragically Touches Gustavus Community

A current student and a recent graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College who are brothers were involved in a fatal car accident over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Richard Insley, 23, a 2007 graduate of the college died in the accident.

67th Annual Festival of St. Lucia

Gustavus Adolphus College will celebrate its 67th annual Festival of St. Lucia on Thursday, Dec. 6. As part of the celebration, one sophomore and four of her classmates will be selected to serve as St. Lucia and the Lucia Court.

Twelve Students Honored for Academic Achievement

One senior and 11 juniors at Gustavus Adolphus College have recently been honored for their academic achievements. On Friday, Nov. 16 the College announced its annual Albert G. Swanson and Gerhard T. Alexis Scholars.

Destination Anywhere Exhibit Comes to Gustavus

"Destination Anywhere: A Juried Exhibit of 15 Award-Winning Young Artists With Disabilities," is now open at the Hillstrom Museum of Art at Gustavus Adolphus College. The exhibit will run from Nov. 19 through Jan. 13.

Men’s Basketball Team Helps Clean Up Flood Damage

The Gustavus men's basketball team travelled to Rushford, Minn. recently and spent the day helping the community clean up from the devastation caused by flash flooding in late August.

Gustavus in Top 10 for Studying Abroad Participation

Gustavus Adolphus College continues to be a leading institution in the nation when it comes to the number of students participating in studying abroad programs, according to an annual report released by the Institute of International Education (IIE).

International Culture Celebrated at Gustavus

Diversity and international culture will be celebrated at Gustavus Adolphus College this weekend. The College will host its annual International Festival on Friday, Nov. 16, while the Hmong New Year will be celebrated on Saturday, Nov. 17. Both events are open to the public.

Hunger & Homelessness Week, Sleep Out Begin Nov. 11

In an effort to increase awareness and understanding of hunger and homelessness in America, Gustavus students have a week of programming planned Nov. 11-15. The week's events include a three-night sleep out and several other activities.

Gustavus to Host Senate Higher Education Committee

The Minnesota Senate Higher Education Committee, in an ongoing effort to familiarize itself with the state's colleges and universities, will visit Gustavus Adolphus College Thursday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
