Professor Stages Summer Children’s Play

Gustavus Adolphus College associate professor of theatre and dance Amy Seham has spent the past five summers staging shows at Minnesota’s unique Fringe Festival. This summer she has written and is directing a children’s theatre production called “Miranda’s Amazing Adventure.”

Gustavus Adolphus College associate professor of theatre and dance Amy Seham has spent the past five summers staging shows at Minnesota’s unique Fringe Festival. This summer she has written and is directing a children’s theatre production called “Miranda’s Amazing Adventure.”

The play featuring two Gustavus students (Courtney Covey and Bryan Pelach) and some young people from the Saint Peter Area Children’s Theatre. Performances of Seham’s show will be at the Minneapolis Theatre Garage (711 Franklin Ave) at the following dates and times:

Thursday, August 2, 5:30 pm
Saturday , August 4, 2:30 pm
Sunday, August 5, 8:30 pm
Tuesday, Augst 7, 5:30 pm
Thursday, August 9, 7 pm

Another 2007 Fringe Festival show, “Speechless,” has Gustavus represented. This show — a collection of hip, poetic, irreverent, mystical, historical, magical, argumentative, revealing, and memorable songs — is performed by Carl Franzen ’64.
