Comedians, improv comedy troupes, and bands from Minnesota are gathering for a day of entertainment at Gustavus Adolphus College on March 11. The event will begin at 11 a.m. and end at 6 p.m. in the college’s Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union. Admission is free, but a silent auction and donation table will be set up to raise money for the Third Floor Youth Center in St. Peter.

The center was founded and continues to be run by teenagers. Local youth in grades four through eight attend the youth center, which provides them with a safe and fun place to gather after school. The organization is constantly working to maintain funds and recent cuts in state grants have had a negative impact. The following is a list of performers for the March 11 event.

Comedians:
· Shannan Paul (Acme Comedy Club and B-96)
· Wayne Burfiene (2003 Minnesota Laff-Off semifinalist)
· Chris Maddack (Stillwater native and 2002 Acme Comedy Club Funniest Person semifinalist)
· Patrick Ryan

Improv Comedy:
· LineUs (Gustavus’ home improv troupe)
· The Disease (A group of middle school students from the Arts Center of St. Peter)
· Fresh Concepts (Long form improv comedy from Macalester College)
· Stevie Ray’s Improv (17-year improv comedy veterans from Minneapolis)

Bands:
· The Men Who Control the Weather (www.myspace.com/theweathermachine)
· The Limit (www.myspace.com/limit)
· Possibly Bailey (Blues, funk, rock band from Minneapolis, www.possiblybailey.com)
