Out with the Old, In with the New
On Saturday, Oct. 28, Gustavus Adolphus College played its final home football game of the 2006 season — the last on the current Hollingsworth Field. After the game (about 3:30 p.m.), the current stadium was decommissioned followed by the official ground breaking for a new stadium to be ready for the beginning of next football season.

Mary K. Nelson, a 1961 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College, will receive the 2006 Association of Congregations Service Award on Monday, Oct. 30.

Gustavus Adolphus College's seventh annual "Our Story" Conference, focusing on the evolution and future of affirmative action, will take place Saturday, Nov. 4.
Author Talks on Importance of Reading
Mark Edmundson will deliver the 2006-07 Herbert P. and Mary Jane Lefler Lecture at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1 in Alumni Hall, located in the O.J. Johnson Student Union at Gustavus Adolphus College.
