  • Gustavus Soccer Teams to Play in Greece

    The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s and women’s soccer teams will travel to Europe this January for a 15-day tour of Greece. Fifty Gustavus students — team members and soccer enthusiasts — will embark on this Jan. 17-31 journey.

  • Mixed Blood Theatre to Perform on Martin Luther King Jr. Day

    Mixed Blood Theatre Company will perform at Gustavus Adolphus College on Monday, Jan. 21 as part of the college’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day celebrations. The ensemble will perform Dr. King’s Dream: A Biography of Martin Luther King Jr. at 7 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

  • Gustavus Serving as Partner Site for Religion Conference

    Gustavus Adolphus College will present Trinity Institute’s 38th National Theological Conference, Religion and Violence: Untangling the Roots of Conflict, on Jan. 21-23. The college will serve as a regional partner site for this event.

  • Symphony Orchestra Preparing for China Tour

    The Gustavus Adolphus College Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Warren Friesen, is making its final preparations before embarking on a 15-day (Jan. 18-Feb.1) international concert tour of China.

  • Building Bridges Conference Saturday

    Gustavus Adolphus College will hold its 13th annual Building Bridges Conference Saturday, March 8. The theme of this year’s conference is “Genocide Awareness: How Will History Judge Us?” Tickets are sold out.

  • Tickets for Music Showcase Now On Sale

    The three international touring music ensembles at Gustavus Adolphus College — The Gustavus Choir, the Gustavus Symphony Orchestra, and the Gustavus Wind Orchestra — have announced the details for the Gustavus Music Showcase concert. The trio of ensembles will perform at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 9 at Orchestra Hall in Minneapolis.

    Gustavus Adolphus College Professor of Political Science Chris Gilbert will appear on Minnesota Public Radio’s midday show with Gary Eichten at 11 a.m. Friday, January 4. Gilbert will discuss the results of Thursday’s Iowa caucuses and what they mean for the 2008 Presidential race.
