  • Recyclemania Results Released

    The results are in from Recyclemania, the 10-week recycling and waste reduction competition between 550 participating schools, colleges, and universities across the country. Gustavus Adolphus College collected 72,900 pounds of recyclables during the competition.

  • Physics Club to Host Lecture

    The Gustavus Adolphus College Physics Club will host Dr. Felipe Menanteau from the Department of Physics and Astronomy at Rutgers University for a free public lecture at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7 in room 103 of F.W. Olin Hall for Physics, Mathematics, and Computer Science.

  • Impresario From Smyrna Moves Into Final Weekend

    Following an opening weekend which featured a sold-out opening night, The Impresario from Smyrna, Anderson Theatre’s season finale, presents its final two performances May 8 at 8:00 p.m. and May 9 at 2:00 p.m.

  • May 8 is Arboretum Volunteer Day

    In recognition of National Public Gardens Day, the Linnaeus Arboretum at Gustavus Adolphus College will host Arboretum Volunteer Day from 2 to 5 p.m. Friday, May 8.

  • G.I.V.E. Day Scheduled for May 9

    On Saturday, May 9 Gustavus Adolphus College students, faculty, and staff will convene for G.I.V.E. (Gusties in Volunteering Endeavors) Day in the St. Peter community.

  • Softball Team Receives NCAA Tournament Berth

    The Gustavus Adolphus College softball team, which won the MIAC regular season championship with a 21-1 record and finished second at the MIAC Tournament, has received an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.

  • Remembering Bill Holm

    Gustavus Adolphus College will host a gathering at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 7 to honor and remember 1965 alumnus Bill Holm. Holm, a renowned poet and essayist, passed away Feb. 25 in Sioux Falls, S.D. The event will be free and open to the public.

  • Gustavus Recognizes Newly Tenured Faculty

    Gustavus Adolphus College recognized eight newly tenured faculty members during its 10 a.m. daily worship service in Christ Chapel on Friday, April 24.

  • Alumnus Receives Bush Foundation Grant

    The Bush Foundation has named Gustavus Adolphus College alumnus Jess O. Luce ’99 a 2009 Leadership Fellow. The Bush Fellowship will allow Luce to pursue a master’s degree in public administration with a concentration in aging issues in the Maxwell School at Syracuse University.

  • Valentini Named Head Men’s Tennis Coach

    Tommy Valentini, a native of Duluth, Minn., has been named the head men’s tennis coach at Gustavus Adolphus College. Valentini, who has been an assistant coach for the Gusties for the past three years, will replace Steve Wilkinson who is retiring after serving as the head coach for the past 39 years.
