Weather Impacts on Weekend Campus Events

Most on-campus events are on as scheduled, with some athletic contests impacted by winter weather.

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Nicollet County from 6 a.m. on Saturday, March 9 through 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 10. Freezing rain is expected to begin Saturday morning followed by heavy snow and rising winds approaching 40 miles per hour.

This weekend’s Collegiate Fellow interviews, soccer clinic, Sunday evening Chapel Service, and Sunday faculty recital and reception featuring Michael and Bonnie Jorgenson will take place as scheduled.

The schedule for men’s and women’s tennis matches have been adjusted. More information about the tennis changes are available online.

The Folke Bernadotte Memorial Library, Market Place, and Lund Center will be open for regularly scheduled hours throughout the weekend. The Swanson Tennis Center will be open to the public from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Weather conditions are developing rapidly, and projections may change overnight and throughout the day on Saturday. Please limit unnecessary travel and remain aware of weather conditions.

The College will continue to monitor conditions and communicate any changes to the campus community.
