College Receives Grant from Knutson Endowment Fund

The Chaplains' Office at Gustavus Adolphus College has received a $4,000 grant from the Philip N. Knutson Endowment in Lutheran Campus Ministry to support social justice initiatives.

Carrie Newcomer to Play Concert at Gustavus

Singer and songwriter Carrie Newcomer will perform a concert at Gustavus Adolphus College titled "The Geography of Light," at 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16 in Alumni Hall, located on the upper level of the O.J. Johnson Student Union. The concert is free and open to the public.

Gustavus Serving as Partner Site for Religion Conference

Individuals interested in the intersections of theology and sustainability are invited to Gustavus Adolphus College Jan. 21-23, when the college will simulcast Trinity Institute's 39th National Theological Conference. This year's conference is titled Radical Abundance: A Theology of Sustainability.

Jodock to Administer Templeton Foundation Grant

Dr. Darrell Jodock, the Drell and Adeline Bernhardson Distinguished Professor of Religion at Gustavus Adolphus College, will help administer a $150,000 grant from the John Templeton Foundation's Science for Ministry Initiative awarded to the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research.

Gustavus Wind Orchestra Preparing for Tour

The Gustavus Adolphus College Wind Orchestra, conducted by Douglas Nimmo, is currently preparing to embark on a 10-day tour from Jan. 30 to Feb. 8 that will take it to parts of Colorado and South Dakota.
