The Minnesota Senate Higher Education Committee, in an ongoing effort to familiarize itself with the state’s colleges and universities, will visit Gustavus Adolphus College Thursday, Nov. 15 from 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The 12-member committee which is chaired by Sandra L. Pappas (DFL) from District 65, will tour campus grounds, meet and greet members of the Gustavus community, and have lunch during the visit.
The committee has jurisdiction over all bills relating to higher education including current bills dealing with issues such as tuition increase limitations, textbook prices, and resident tuition requirements.
Along with Pappas, the remaining 11 members of the committee are Vice Chair Kathy Sheran (DFL), Ranking Minority Member Claire Robling (R), Tarryl Clark (DFL), Richard Cohen (DFL), Paul Koering (R), Ron Latz (DFL), Ann Lynch (DFL), Geoff Michel (R), David Senjem (R), David Tomassoni (DFL), and Charles Wiger (DFL).
