Campus Energy Wars Bicycle Competition Feb. 28

On Feb. 28, Gustavus students and staff will pedal stationary bicycles in competition to see who can pump the most energy into an electrical generator supplied by the Minnesota Department of Commerce. The event culminates Campus Energy Wars, a month-long competition among a dozen Minnesota colleges and universities. The Campus Energy Wars challenge is to see which campus can conserve the most energy throughout the month.

Gustavus Hosts Family-Farm Documentarian

Come and see a documentary series that explores the relationship people have with their family farms at Gustavus Adolphus College Feb. 19-20. The creator will lecture and present two short films.

Lunar New Year Celebration at Gustavus

A Lunar New Year Celebration will be held at Gustavus at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 23 in Alumni Hall, located in O.J. Johnson Student Union. Lunar New Year is celebrated annually in China, Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, and elsewhere. It is the most important and meaningful spiritual festival for people in these countries. As a celebration of the change of nature, it marks the transition from winter to spring.

Gustavus Alumni Actors Return for The Cherry Orchard Performance

Six professional alumni actors have returned to campus to perform in the College's upcoming production, The Cherry Orchard. The classic play, written by Anton Chekhov, will be staged Thursday, Feb. 8-Feb. 11.
