The Gustavus Adolphus College Class of 2019 commencement ceremony will be held outdoors on Hollingsworth Field, College officials announced this morning.

Gates will open at 12 p.m. A prelude concert featuring the Gustavus Wind Orchestra under the direction of Dr. James Patrick Miller will begin at 1:30 p.m. and the graduates will process into the stadium with the faculty at 1:45 p.m. For those who cannot attend, commencement will be streamed live online.

The Saint Peter area has been experiencing buggy conditions due to gnats, so attendees are encouraged to bring and wear bug spray, hats, and light, long-sleeved tops.

Following commencement, academic departments will host receptions on the Eckman Mall.

Throughout the day, graduates, families, and guests are encouraged to post on social media using #Gusties19 to share pictures and memories.
