Commencement Moved Indoors to Lund ArenaRain showers and the chance of storms throughout the day have pushed the 2018 commencement ceremony indoors.

Due to inclement weather, today’s commencement exercises for the Gustavus Adolphus College Class of 2018 have been moved inside and will take place in the Lund Center Arena. The ceremony will begin at 1:45 p.m. as scheduled.

Because of limited seating, each graduate has been issued three tickets that will permit guests to view the ceremony from within the arena. Additional guests are welcome to view the ceremony via simulcast on the Gus Young Court (Lund Center) or in the Evelyn Anderson Dining Room (Jackson Campus Center). Tickets beyond three per graduate will not be available due to space constraints. Commencement will also be streamed live online for those who cannot make it to campus.

To prepare for the 1:45 p.m. processional, graduates will line up at 12:40 p.m. in the Lund Center Forum. Faculty should gather upstairs in Lund Center at 1:30 p.m.

Following the ceremony, academic departments will host receptions in Lund Center for the new graduates and their families.

Throughout the day, graduates, families, and guests are encouraged to post on social media using #Gusties18 to share pictures and memories.
