Gustavus senior David Martinson scored two goals and added two assists on Friday night.

The Gustavus Adolphus College men’s hockey team clinched the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championship on Saturday, Feb. 20 with a 6-0 victory over St. Mary’s University in Winona. The win followed a 5-1 victory over St. Mary’s on Friday, Feb. 19 at Don Roberts Ice Rink.

The Gusties finished the regular season atop the MIAC standings with 26 points and a conference record of 12-2-2. They will be the No. 1 seed in the upcoming MIAC Playoffs. They will host a semifinal game on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Don Roberts Ice Rink.

Gustavus senior David Martinson finished the regular season as the conference’s leading scorer. In 16 conference games, Martinson tallied 23 goals and 13 assists.
