Graduating senior wins Fulbright
Aaron Flohrs, a 2005 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College from Ormsby, Minn., has won a prestigious Fulbright Fellowship to conduct research in Switzerland on the World Trade Organization.
Gustavus Students Accepted into Teaching Corps
Gustavus Adolphus College seniors Amanda Lodermeier and Carl Ferkinhoff have been accepted into Teach For America, the national corps of outstanding college graduates of all academic majors who commit two years to teach in urban and rural public schools.

Senior Kimberly Assad from Gurnee, Ill., earned the Donald G. Paterson Award for the presentation of her psychology research at the Minnesota Undergraduate Psychology Conference on April 23, 2005.
Gustavus Geologist to Present Lecture at Conference
Russell Shapiro, assistant professor of geology at Gustavus Adolphus College, will present his research on stromatolites, rock structures built by bacteria, at the 39th annual meeting of the North-Central Section of the Geological Society of America.
